The Burnt Room is a full evening dance piece made for a room. The audience sit around the stage area, physically marking its borders. The work was commissioned by The Center for Contemporary Art in Tel Aviv and Berlin’s n.b.k, and was premiered in November 2016, as part of both art institutions’ joint performance art project. The Burnt Room is performed by two dancers (Carmel Ben Asher and Kelvin Vu) accompanied by its two creators, Noa Zuk & Ohad Fishof, who are, among other things, responsible for the live, multi channel soundtrack.
The piece was performed in Germany and in Italy in The summer of 2017. In November it will be presented as part as the Batsheva Hosts Series, in Batsheva Dance Company’s Varda Studio.
